I may have seen this before. If I have, it was some time ago and I don't remember it. This would suggest that the film isn't very good, and is rather dull, but that actually isn't the case at all.
The film is a bit of an anomaly - it centres around Tripp O'Grady, an English university lecturer, and his relationships with his lover, editor and students. But the storyline that grounds the film is that concerning his student James Leer, something of an oddball.
There is a decent storyline here, with some very comedic moments. It's perhaps not to everybody's taste, but if you like black comedy you'll likely enjoy this.

I work at UWE (the University of the West of England) in Bristol as a Research and Open Access Librarian. Although we have still managed to fit in holidays to the Isles of Scilly, Chamonix and a summer in California since Joe was born.
